Space is shaped by geography, desire, laws, technology, capital and material.
Familiar with academic discourse and settings, we contribute to broadcast, visual and print media and communicate through installation/exhibit, working broadly across drawing, installation, film and model media within a range of settings.
From a practice view, our interest is in space shaped by geography, desire, laws, technology, capital and material. The Necessary Contract probes that; and our selected built Houses aim to bring places more fully into being. Public built work: a Community Centre, Credit Union, School, Calais Women and Children, Youth and Community and Vaccination Buildings use technology, logistics, contracts to find appropriate identities for public spaces. Calais Maps use architectural thinking to bear witness to spatial (in)justice. A wide range of strategic spatial planning studies inform thinking. A new project at Marshalsea Debtors Prison would probe how value is ascribed and for whom.
